POSITION: Client Manager

REPORTS TO: Partners

  1. Position Summary

    a. Assist the partners to deliver a range of high quality compliance and business advisory services and reports to clients
    b. Think and act like you own the business, offer suggestions for improvement
    c. Continually sell Accession3 and be proud of what you do and where you work
    d. Support client relationship building and work collaboratively with the team and clients to deliver exceptional client service
    e. Analyse problems, design and implement practical solutions and manage projects for quality and profitability
    f. Contribute to and support the development of the team, continually build and share knowledge, and engage in ongoing personal career growth
    g. If you meet ongoing agreed upon KPI’s there is a Partnership option within 5 years

  2. Operational

    a. Oversee and assist with the production of high quality reports for clients including:

    i. Business Activity Statements;
    ii. Financial Statements; and
    iii. Income Tax Returns.

    b. Be able to recognise potential tax issues and offer solutions
    c. Review Statement Of Position and identify areas of improvement or opportunity for clients
    d. Communicate outcomes and results with clients
    e. Control workflow to ensure adherence to ATO Lodgement Deadlines
    f. Provide assistance with compliance issues relating to PAYG, GST, Workcover, Superannuation,
    Centrelink and other government agencies.
    g. Provide general training and support to the staff on research and taxation matters.
    h. Assist with Business Advisory tasks such as preparation of business plans, valuations, due
    diligence, forecasts, tax planning and loan applications.
    i. Uphold a high level of responsibility for all duties undertaken

  4. Management & Business Development

    a. Manage jobs effectively by preparing project proposals, adhering to 10 day turn around and submitting fees promptly
    b. Actively manage workflow to ensure all team members have sufficient work to meet their individual and team targets
    c. Be able to manage day-to-day client relations and deal with difficult interpersonal situations
    d. Continually look for ways to increase profitability and efficiency
    e. Continually build and nurture an internal and external network of client and potential client relationships and work with them to help achieve their business and personal goals
    f. Ensure tasks are delegated appropriately and effectively
    g. Review of KPI Reports and Update Job Control Sheets in MYOB AE and ensure job progress targets are being met

  5. Technical

    a. CA or CPA qualified
    b. 7-10 years’ experience
    c. Extensive accounting and taxation knowledge including Income Tax Assessment Act, GST, Superannuation, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Payroll Tax
    d. Competent skill level in MYOB, Phoenix, Quick Books, Banklink and Xero
    e. Competent in use of key software including, HowNow, MYOB AE, BGL, Word, Excel, SmartDraw, Outlook, PDF Docs,
    f. Know what is required to set-up a new business or superfund for a client
    g. Confidently discuss the structure/s most appropriate for a clients business
    h. Suggest improvements to a clients cashbooks to help them save time and money in the future
    i. Consult, recommend and advise in specialty areas.

  6. Training and Coaching

    a. Assist staff requiring technical assistance and support, in the areas of accounting, tax and professional development
    b. Assist in the creation of opportunities for fellow team members
    c. Invest time learning and building new skills
    d. Be prepared to bring others up to your level of understanding
